Mr Shaver collects only the personal information it needs to sell, deliver and repair your products, and it never sells your information. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it.

Who is responsible for your personal information?
Mr Shaver, Shop 16-18 London Court, 647 Hay Street, Perth WA 6000, is responsible for the personal information collected through mrshaver.com.au and in our store. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What personal information does Mr Shaver collect?
We collect the following information, depending on how you deal with us:

We do not collect sensitive information, such as health or financial account details, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Why do we collect your personal information?
We use your personal information to:
- Process, pack and ship your order with Australia Post
- Send order confirmations and your tracking number by email or SMS
- Answer your enquiries and help you find the right spare part for your shaver
- Quote, complete and return repairs
- Handle returns, refunds and warranty claims
- Prevent fraud and keep the website secure
- Understand how people use the website so we can improve it
- Meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We only send marketing emails if you have asked to receive them, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Does Mr Shaver store my credit card details?
No. Card payments on mrshaver.com.au are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on our website or seen by our staff.
Who does Mr Shaver share my information with?
We share only the information each service needs to do its job:

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example to a government agency. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
Is my information sent overseas?
Some of our service providers, such as Stripe and Google, may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.
What cookies does mrshaver.com.au use?
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We use them for three things:
- Essential cookies (WooCommerce and WordPress): remember the items in your cart, keep you logged in to My Account and complete checkout securely. The cart and checkout do not work without these.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): count visits and show which pages are popular. They do not identify you by name.
- Embedded content (Google Maps): the store map in our footer is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to place an order online, but you can still order by phone on (08) 9325 5755.
How long does Mr Shaver keep my information?
We keep order and invoice records for at least 5 years, as Australian tax law requires. Contact form messages and repair details are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your request. Account details stay until you ask us to delete your account. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How does Mr Shaver protect my information?
- The whole website uses a secure HTTPS (SSL) connection.
- Payments are handled by Stripe, so card numbers never touch our servers.
- Account passwords are stored encrypted.
- Only authorised staff can access customer and order information.
- We keep the website, plugins and security tools up to date.
What happens if there is a data breach?
If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will contact you as soon as possible and tell you what happened and what you can do. Where required, we will also notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Does Mr Shaver use automated decision-making or profiling?
No. We do not make decisions about you using automated profiling. Stripe runs automatic fraud checks on card payments to protect you and us from fraudulent orders.
How can I see, correct or delete my information?
You can view and update your details at any time in My Account. To get a copy of the information we hold, correct it or ask us to delete it, email info@mrshaver.com.au. We will reply within 30 days. We may need to keep some records, such as tax invoices, for legal reasons.
How do I make a privacy complaint?
Contact us first by email or phone, and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Will this policy change?
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
